About Us

For more than 40 years, we have provided both residential and commercial services which include excavation, land clearing/demolition, septic installations (also repairs, mantenance, & inspections), trucking, snow plowing & removal (commercial only), sewer & water line thawing/repairs, and pond creations.

Our company began in the early 1970s under the ownership of Alfred McCagg, Jr., doing business as Alfred McCagg, Jr. Construction. He specialized in small excavation jobs and septic repair/installation. In January of 2000, the business was renamed to McCagg Excavating, Inc., with Jamie McCagg leading as the company's President.
